Godmonster of Indian Flats (1973)

How bad is it? It's boring for half, then unbelievably wildly weird.
Should you see it? Yes.

I didn't believe this film existed for a long time and it seems that it was never released, but I have managed to see a copy of it recently. I still can't believe it exists.

The film is about a killer sheep. Not a zombie sheep; that was "Black Sheep." This one is a monster created by fumes from the local mines. Some believe it's a good monster and some don't, just like in "Frankenstein." There's a lot of talk about what caused it, what to do with it and so on, but not much happens.

And then: People go insane for no reason. People get killed that were the main focus of the film. The who town gets burned. People yell at nothing, for no reason. The monster explodes. {There's another review of this online that I'm paraphrasing, because it really nails it}

The film even has Erica Gavin! It looks like the director of this film made low budget sex films, tried his hand at horror and couldn't find a distributor. Pity... this should be better known.
