Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare (1987)

How bad is it? It's remarkably well-shot, but otherwise awful.
Should you see it? Yes. It starts slow, but it builds.

This straight-to-video effort came out a year after heavy metal bodybuilder Jon Mikl Thor starred in "Zombie Nightmare." This time, Thor produced and wrote as well as starred, so he takes all the blame. The cinematography is surprisingly good, as a band and its groupies go to a deserted farmhouse to work on material. Obvious spooky stuff starts to happen and it looks like any other horror flick for a while. Then... Thor wrestles a satanic monster from another dimension in a musical number. The campiness is stunning.
